These creamy, no-cook overnight oats are infused with vibrant matcha for a calm, focused energy boost. Ready in 5 minutes, they’re the perfect grab-and-go breakfast that tastes like a treat while nourishing your body.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, or almond milk)
  • ½ cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons (about 6g) matcha powder (culinary-grade)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the matcha base: In a small bowl or directly in your jar, combine ¼ cup (60ml) of the milk with the matcha powder. Whisk vigorously until no lumps remain.
  2. Add remaining liquid ingredients: Pour in the rest of the milk (¾ cup / 180ml), Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk again until smooth and uniformly pale jade green.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients: Add the rolled oats, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until all oats are fully coated and submerged.
  4. Transfer to jars: Divide the mixture evenly between two 16-ounce jars (or one large container). Leave about ½ inch headspace.
  5. Refrigerate overnight: Seal jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably 8-12 hours.
  6. Serve cold or warm: In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Eat cold or microwave for 45-60 seconds for a warm version.
  7. Add toppings: Garnish with toasted coconut flakes, fresh blueberries, extra honey, sliced bananas, chopped almonds, or peanut butter.

Notes

Don’t skip the matcha paste step to avoid bitter clumps. Use old-fashioned rolled oats, not instant or steel-cut. For best flavor, make 2 days ahead. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Do not freeze.
